The environment doesn’t even have to be a tent. It can be anything such as a closet or even a cabinet. The important thing here is that you need to obtain seeds. 3. The Lighting
Once you’ve settled on the seeds and the place where you’ll grow, it’s now time to discuss lighting. This tip is for all of you indoor growers that want to utilize each plant as much as you can.
If you do a good job on the lighting, then your yields will be nice and big. A poor job, however, will result in a poor yield. Naturally, you can solve this issue by focusing on the quality and quantity of the lighting source.
When talking about lighting, you primarily have two options; LED and HID.
LED lighting is the most efficient source of lighting that you could provide your plants. HID lighting, on the other hand, can be as much as ten times cheaper to pull off while also being quite efficient.
Most rookie growers tend to settle on the latter since they don’t want to invest too much too early. Once you’ve gotten the hang of it, LED should be your preferable type of lighting.
4. Air Circulation
Since cannabis is a green plant, it needs CO2 so it can perform photosynthesis. Air circulation is vital if you want your plants to come out the way they should.
When it comes to setting up proper air circulation, you can use exhaust fans. The place where you set the fans will determine how successful your yields will be. The best and the preferred setting is to place them near the top of your grow chamber.
This is because the lighting can make the air much warmer than it should, so the exhaust fans will suck the warmer air and keep the entire chamber at a nice and optimal temperature.
The type of exhaust fan, however, can be determined based on the type of lighting. If you’re using HID lighting, then you’ll probably need at least one large and one medium-sized fan to do the job. HID produces far more heat than LED, so you’ll end up spending more on air circulation.
